Run! Don’t walk

Or take the public transit!

The date for the TTC Knitalong, which is the annual event for Toronto Knitters to take over the buses and subway cars, has been announced. It will be on July 14. The date was announced on May 29th, and by today (only 4 days later) there is not one spot available!!!!! If you would like to take part, get your name on the waiting list pronto.
The Knitalongers will be stopping at the Knit Cafe, and we will have lots of fun things planned!

This picture was taken by Robbie Eddison during the last TTC Knitalong. That rainbow of bears was such a fun display, I miss it.
Look for a not so subliminal, not so hidden message in this photo
. Hint: it is not the leggy model on the side of the bus

Coming up this week is the Crochet 101 Class.
Wed. June 6, 13, 20, 27, 7-9pm
$96, materials not included.
This intro class assumes no prior knowledge of crochet, but you will still learn how to make a scarf, a hat, a toy, and a granny square.  Wow!

Also this week the Sweater Design Class starts
Thurs June 7, 14, 21, break, March 5, 7-9pm
$96, materials not included
You will knit a raglan sleeved sweater starting at the neckline and working down.  You can choose any yarn, and many of the details of the sweater, such as necklines, sleeve lengths, cardigan or pullover styles, and on and on, AND you will learn a lot! For example- you will learn that making up your own patterns is fun!

Our Chunky Cardi pattern started as the sample for this class.  We chose the fattest yarn in the store so we could knit it up fast, but you can pick whatever you like.
You can register for classes by calling 416 533 5648, or by stopping by the Knit Cafe.

Craftily yours
Kristin
