Still time to get in on the Knit in Colour Class. It is this Sunday December 2nd from 1-3pm. This is a rare class, so take advantage.
Kate Atherley, the talented knitter who is teaching the class stopped by the other day. She let me snap a photo of these beautiful mittens. A sample of her pattern Campbell Glen Fingerless Mitts. Fair Isle is the technique used to knit them and you will learn all about it in class.
The fun doesn’t stop there though. Kate will also be teaching another colour working technique called Intarsia. If you ever wanted to knit one of the wonderful Cowichan Sweaters that you see around so much these days then you will have to learn this “picture knitting” technique.
I’m a fan of this David Suzuki inspired Cowichan update. You will have to purchase it prefab from Granted. There is no pattern unless you make one up yourself. Something to aspire to. Maybe after the class!
