We are so happy that Iwona is back at the Knit Cafe after her maternity sojourn. One of the extra benefits of having her amongst us is that she will be able to put her talents to good use and take up the mantle of teacher again. To this end we are adding on some new dates for classes. These classes will take place in the daylight hours and hopefully allow more options to folks whose schedules do not permit evening classes. If that is you, then make a note:
Knitter’s Crash Course, our 2.5 hour introduction to knitting for complete novices will now also run – Monday December 2nd 10am-12:20pm
Holiday Bear Workshop, is a class for beginner knitters (you only need be familiar with the simple knit stitch to make this gorgeous specimen). After you take the Knitter’s Crash Course you will be in good shape to tackle this class. Learn to follow a knit pattern and the seaming techniques necessary to make this bear – Monday December 9, 10am-12:30pm
Hat Workshop is our class for learning how to knit in circles on those pesky double pointed needles. A toque is a fun and quick item to knit and makes excellent gifts.
Monday December 16, 10am-12:30pm
