We just installed a new window display and we are pleased as punch! Punch!
For the past many weeks Iwona and I have been busy needle felting birdies. I must say it has rekindled my love of needle felting. We have combined our birds with felted balls made by our cohorts Maurie and Jennifer and made mobiles for the window. You can see a short video of the mobiles being mobile on Instagram HERE
Hopefully these mobiles will get folks prepped and ready for our upcoming needle felting workshops. We have one on August 26th. You can find the details HERE.
We also have two other dates for a crash course in needle felting which we designed in collaboration with Toronto’s Maker Festival coming up this month.
The Maker Festival celebrates all types of inventive and creative endeavors over several weeks in July and August. The Toronto Public Library hosts a large market place where folks can try out a 3D printer, learn computer code, or make your own pop-up book. There are also satellite events; workshops, demonstrations, and speakers all over the city that you can take advantage of.

We chose to participate in the Maker Festival with a Needle Felting Workshop. Needle Felting in a craft that is easy to succeed at with no prior experience. Just watch out for the sharp needles -ouch!
We condensed our regular 2.5 hour workshop into a speedy 1.5 hour experience. You can register for the Needle Felting for The Maker Festival from our webshop HERE. Choose from two dates: Saturday July 25, 11am-12:30pm, or Friday July 31, 1-2:30pm.
The mobiles are for sale too. In fact one ran out the door with a lucky lady only minutes after the display went up. Goodbye humming birds!
