We’ve done some redecorating.
We needed to make a little room for our new knit kits.
Do you know someone who would like to learn to knit over their Christmas Holidays? We have compiled 5 – count em – 5 – learn to knit kits. They were created with newbie knitters in mind. They can make the traditional scarf project complete with fringe-making instructions, a super fat and fast to make cowl, a wonderfully chunky hat with pom pom instructions included, a headband, or some arm warmers. All the Learn to Knit Kits come with The Knit Cafe’s “Knitter’s Crash Course” booklet that has step by step instructions and diagrams that explain knit-basics like casting on, the knit stitch, binding off, weaving in ends and seaming.
Knitter’s who are more seasoned can try even more knit projects. In this picture you can see some of our favourites, like the Soho Scarf, the Harem Pants, and Tee, but we also have some new offerings.
The very popular Noro Striped Scarf is now easy to pick up as a kit, also brand new patterns from the Knit Café are likewise in knit-kit form.

A very basic knit shape that can be turned into any wee little friend you wish. So far we’ve made about a dozen of these little guys – all different, from bears to penguins and on and on. This pattern was designed with new knitters in mind. It is easy to follow with lots of instructional information. The kit comes with the pattern, two balls of yarn (you pick the colours) polyfil stuffing and safety eyes.
