The folks at Madelinetosh are so clever! They have called their latest yarn ASAP or “As Soon As Possible” to reflect the fact that it can be knit in a hurry. This extra bulky yarn is terrific for last minute projects.
I – myself, have been reflecting on using this yarn for an extra bulky hat and mitten set, because it’s so darn cold. Brrrrrrrrr….

Two of three boxes from Madeline Tosh has arrived. Sadly we will have to wait a while for three’s-a-charm to arrive, but I hear patience is a virtue. For now let us just celebrate all there is to celebrate. Here it is:
Madeline Tosh Vintage in Thunderstorm, Oxblood, Scarlet, Flashdance, Fathom!
Madeline Tosh Vintage in Luster, Rosewood, French Grey, Composition Book Grey, and Logwood.
Madeline Tosh Vintage in Cousteau, Wash, Creme de Menthe, Maple Leaf, Chamomile, Gilded, and Saffron. $20 for 182 metres (200yds).
I know many people can’t wait to get their hands on some Madeline Tosh DK to make Honey Cowls. Since we do not expect the DK for a while you might want to consider the pretty Vintage for this project. The popular Creature Comforts Cardigan is made from the Vintage too!
Madeline Tosh is only ever around for a good-time, not a long time so get in soon for first dibs.
We have made no secret about the impatience of our waiting when it comes to MadelineTosh yarn. We have been waiting a while, but the good things they come to those who do the waiting. Here are the good things.
MadelineTosh hand dyed luminous yarns in three different weights. Above see beauty shots of MadelineTosh Vintage (worsted weight yarn), Pashmina (cashmere blended DK weight) and Tosh DK (superwash merino DK weight), and also…some gorgeous lace wight yarns – Prairie by MadelineTosh!
Wouldn’t a Wispy Cardigan look fantastic in this yarn. Or an Ishbel scarf. Both of these patterns you can find at the Knit Cafe too.
